Recognitions
Manage recognition categories, enable/disable recognitions, and view all recognitions in the tenant.
Recognitions (praise, kudos, or appreciation) let members send short messages to colleagues, often with a category (e.g. "Teamwork", "Innovation"). Admins manage recognition categories, turn the feature on or off, and can view all recognitions for the tenant.
Recognition Categories
Categories give structure to recognitions (e.g. "Going the extra mile", "Mentorship", "Quality").
- Go to Admin → Recognitions (or Settings → Recognitions).
- Categories — You'll see the list of existing categories. You can:
- Add — Create a new category: name and optional description or icon.
- Edit — Change name or description.
- Reorder — Change the order in which they appear when sending recognition (if the UI supports it).
- Disable — Hide a category from the sender list without deleting past recognitions. Re-enable anytime.
Keep category names short and positive so members can pick them quickly when sending recognition.
Enable or Disable Recognitions
- Feature flag — In Admin → Settings (or Recognitions), a toggle typically controls whether the recognition feature is on for the tenant.
- When on — Members see the option to send recognition (e.g. from profile, Feedback, or a dedicated Recognitions area). Categories you configured are available.
- When off — The feature is hidden from members. Existing recognitions remain in the database for history and reporting; admins can still view them if the admin view is available.
Use this to roll out recognitions gradually or to turn them off for policy reasons.
View All Recognitions
Admins can view all recognitions in the tenant for moderation, reporting, or culture analytics:
- Go to Admin → Recognitions (or Recognitions in the Admin sidebar).
- Open the All recognitions or Recognition log view.
- You'll see a list or table: sender, recipient, category, message (if stored), date. Use filters (date range, category, person) to narrow down.
- Export — If available, export to CSV for reports or compliance.
Use this view to spot trends, ensure appropriate use, and answer questions about who received recognition and when. Do not use it to edit or delete recognitions unless your tenant supports that and policy allows it.
