Analytics

Team skill distribution charts, growth trends, activity timeline, and export data for managers.

The Analytics area gives managers team skill distribution charts, growth trends, an activity timeline, and options to export data so you can see patterns, plan development, and report upward.

Team Skill Distribution

Skill distribution shows how skills are spread across your team: who has assessed what, and at what level.

What you see

  • By skill or capability — Number of people at each level (e.g. 1–5 or your org’s scale).
  • Charts — Bar charts, tables, or matrices (e.g. skills vs. people).
  • Gaps and strengths — Skills with few people or low levels vs. areas where the team is strong.

Use this to:

  • Decide who gets which learning or project role.
  • Spot training needs (e.g. “We need more level 4 in security”).
  • Balance mentorship and backup (e.g. “We have one expert; who’s next?”).

How to use skill distribution

  1. Go to ManagerAnalytics (or Team → skill views).
  2. Open Skill distribution or Team skills.
  3. Filter by skill group, level, or report if options exist.
  4. Use the results for assignment and 1:1 planning.

Tip: Combine skill distribution with Learning Assignments to assign roadmaps that fill gaps and with Team Management to see who is ready for which roles.

Growth trends show how your team is changing over time:

  • Skills — More assessments, level improvements, or new skills assessed.
  • Learning — Completions over time (roadmaps, trainings).
  • Participation — Who is active (assessments, OKR check-ins, feedback).

Trends may be shown as simple time-series (e.g. “Assessments this quarter”) or as before/after (e.g. “Skill level change in the last 6 months”). Use them to see if development efforts are paying off and who might need more support.

Activity Timeline

The activity timeline (or activity feed for the team) shows recent events across your team:

  • Assessments — Submitted or requested.
  • Learning — Assignments completed or started.
  • OKRs — Check-ins, comments.
  • Feedback and recognition — Given or received.
  • 1:1s — Scheduled or notes added.

Use it to stay aware of what’s happening without opening each person’s profile. Filter by person, type, or date if the product supports it.

Export Data

You may be able to export analytics or team data for reporting or offline analysis.

Typical export options

  • Skill distribution — Table or CSV of team skills and levels.
  • Learning progress — Assignments and completion status.
  • OKR summary — Objectives and key results with progress.
  • Activity — Timeline or log of events (within data and privacy rules).

How to export (when available)

  1. Open ManagerAnalytics (or the specific view you need).
  2. Look for Export or Download (e.g. CSV, Excel).
  3. Choose scope (e.g. current team, date range) and format.
  4. Download. Use the file for reports, planning, or audits as allowed by your org’s policy.

Exports are usually limited to data you’re allowed to see (your reports / team). Respect confidentiality and use exports only for legitimate business purposes.

Tip: Run a skill distribution export at the start of the quarter to baseline the team, and again at the end to show growth in key areas for reviews or planning.
